Parkland Telepsychiatry for Anxiety, Mood, and Attention

Sorting out anxiety, mood, and attention concerns, from home

Dr. Hubsher, who is licensed in Florida and board-certified in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry, sees Parkland teens and adults, including neighbors in Coral Springs, Coconut Creek, and West Boca Raton, by video. Worry, low mood, and trouble focusing often show up together, so his evaluation asks which one is driving the others.

When Worry, Mood, and Focus Get Tangled

Dr. Hubsher can help sort out:
Anxiety that looks like inattention
ADHD alongside low mood or irritability
A teen who seems unmotivated, not just distracted
Symptoms that have been explained in more than one way

How the Evaluation Sorts It Out

A teen’s own account counts as much as what parents and teachers observe, and parents take part too. The visit ends with a conversation about what Dr. Hubsher found and what he recommends next. Medication is discussed only when it fits. Because the Center has no Florida office, all care is virtual.

Questions From Parkland

Is this only for teens?

No. Dr. Hubsher sees patients from age 5 through 65, and Parkland adults follow the same virtual process.

What if anxiety treatment helped, but the focus problems stayed?

That can mean anxiety was only part of the picture. The evaluation looks at whether ADHD, mood, or something else is also contributing.

Is medication the likely result?

Not automatically. If he recommends it, Dr. Hubsher explains what he’s suggesting and why, and the decision is made together.
