Teen Mood & Behavioral Disorder Treatment
Supporting Adolescents Through Emotional and Behavioral Challenges
Adolescence is a time of significant emotional, social, and developmental change. When mood, anxiety, attention, behavioral, or social challenges begin interfering with daily life, a comprehensive evaluation can help identify what may be contributing to the difficulties.
With more than 40 years of clinical experience, Dr. Hubsher is known for identifying complex diagnostic patterns and helping families better understand symptoms that may not fit neatly into a single diagnosis.
Comprehensive Adolescent Psychiatric Evaluations
Regardless of prior psychiatric care, Dr. Hubsher performs a comprehensive evaluation at every initial visit.
Initial evaluations are 90 minutes and are designed to be collaborative. Dr. Hubsher works closely with both parents and adolescents, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to share concerns, provide important background information, and ask questions throughout the process.
Typically, the visit begins with time alone with the parents, followed by time with the teen, and then concludes with a discussion together or with the parents privately.
During the evaluation, he explores how symptoms impact academic performance, friendships, family relationships, emotional regulation, motivation, self-esteem, social functioning, sleep, and overall well-being.
By the end of the evaluation, you will receive clear feedback along with a discussion of recommended treatment options. We do not take a one-size-fits-all approach. Our goal is to provide thoughtful guidance so families and adolescents can make informed decisions about what feels right for them.

Helping Teens Find the Right Path Forward
Many symptoms overlap during adolescence. Difficulty focusing, irritability, mood swings, anxiety, social withdrawal, declining academic performance, or behavioral concerns may have several contributing factors.
Dr. Hubsher’s experience helps him identify the underlying issues driving symptoms so treatment can be targeted, practical, and effective.
