Virtual Psychiatrist for Windermere Children and Teens

When big emotions and behavior need a closer look, from home

Windermere families can meet Dr. Hubsher by video. He is licensed in Florida, with more than 40 years of experience across child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. Outbursts, irritability, and meltdowns can come from ADHD, anxiety, mood, or a mix, and an evaluation looks at which.

When Emotions and Behavior Feel Bigger Than the Moment

A virtual evaluation can help when:
Frustration or anger seems out of proportion
Mornings, homework, or transitions end in conflict
A child or teen can’t settle, or can’t stop worrying
Impulsive moments are hard to predict or prevent

What Has Already Been Tried Matters

Parents take part, and so do your child or teen. Dr. Hubsher asks what has already been tried, such as routines, reward charts, or school supports, and what made a difference. Findings and recommendations are discussed before the visit ends. There is no Center office in Florida, so every visit is by video.

Questions From Windermere Families

Does a Windermere address mean we live in the town?

Not always. Many homes with a Windermere address are in nearby communities such as Horizon West or Dr. Phillips, and Winter Garden and Ocoee are close by. The same virtual process applies to eligible Florida patients in all of them.

How do you tell emotional dysregulation from ordinary frustration?

All children get frustrated. The concern grows when the pattern is persistent or starts interfering with home, school, relationships, or daily responsibilities, so context, severity, and duration all matter.

Is medication the plan for a child?

Medication isn’t an automatic part of treatment. It’s considered only when the evaluation points that way, and Dr. Hubsher explains what he’s suggesting and why.
