Virtual Psychiatrist for Weston Families

One psychiatrist for children, teens, and adults, from home

Families in Weston and nearby Davie, Sunrise, and Southwest Ranches can see Dr. Hubsher by video when more than one person in a household could use a closer look. He practices child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry, is board-certified, and holds a Florida license, so patients ages 5 through 65 are welcome and a parent and a child can each have an evaluation without anyone traveling.

When More Than One Family Member Needs an Answer

Families can start here when:
A child’s diagnosis no longer seems to fit
A parent sees the same patterns in themselves
A teen and a parent describe the problem differently
Years of treatment haven’t produced a clear explanation

Two Pathways Into the Same Process

When a child or teen is the patient
Parents take part, starting with time with the parents, then time with the young person, and a wrap-up conversation.
When an adult is the patient
An adult can ask a family member to join the visit when that would help.

Questions From Weston Families

Does each family member need a separate evaluation?

Yes. Each person is evaluated individually, with their own history and recommendations, and the front desk can help when more than one family member would like one.

How long is a virtual evaluation?

Evaluations typically last about 60 minutes for patients seen individually and 90 minutes for patients under 18 or those with a family member taking part. Family participation is often recommended for patients under 25.

Can a child’s diagnosis from years ago be revisited?

Yes. Dr. Hubsher provides second opinions and diagnostic reassessment, and he looks at how the earlier diagnosis was reached and how treatment has worked.
