ADHD Center of Northern New Jersey is recognized as the leading Center of its kind for the evaluation and treatment of children, adolescents and Adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). ADHD Center of Northern New Jersey provides a full array of treatment for ADHD that includes:
- behavior therapy,
- academic consultation,
- organizational & time management skills training
- parent training
- social skills groups
- medication assessment and careful monitoring.
A diagnosis is determined following completion of behavior and symptom questionnaires, discussions with all appropriate parties, an interview with the patient and completion of all appropriate lab tests.
Treatment is focused on improving one's ability to function at home, at school, at work or in a social setting. Improvement is measured based on rating scales, family observation, teacher reports and patient reports.
We teach children and adolescents tools that they can use to stay focused on their schoolwork and homework, be more successful socializing with peers and be able to regulate interactions better with their family. We teach them about ADHD, about themselves and about their strengths. We help them to feel good about who they are and find success in their lives!
We teach adults about ADHD and it's impact on daily life. We explore the various areas in which ADHD causes problems or interferes, and teach skills and find solutions to improve their ability to function in these areas. We focus on improving attention and being more effective in social interactions, family involvement and work-related tasks.
